e-learning and AIMS Training for Freshers Aug 2020 – 2021 Intake

There has been an e-learning training for freshers in the use of e-learning tools available at Kabale university. The freshers were taken through the registration process on both e-learning and AIMS, logging to both Applications and interacting with a number of action therein.

The Students were learnt the following during the training:

  • Logging into KAB e-learning platrom
  • Editing their profiles
  • Enrolling into courses
  • Identifying the different resources and activities
  • Downloading and interacting with online resources within a course page
  • Submitting Assignments on the e-learning portal
  • Attending online classes through BigBlueButton and Google Meet
  • Attempting an online quiz / test (Auto graded and Manual)

The following was covered on AIMS

  • Logging into AIMS App and student Portal
  • Registering your courses for the semester
  • Paying of school Fees and other requirements
  • Accessing student Marks
  • Generating an Exam card

This training was attended by over 1000 new students for the August 2020/2021 intake

Robert Tumusiime is the senior e-learning officer at Kabale University. He holds a masters of Information technology degree and a BSc. Computer Science from Makerere University. He has been at the forefront of deploying high end Websites, Mobile - Web applications and eLearning systems in Uganda and the East African region for the last 14 years.
